Dubai – Mubasher: Dubai’s inflation increased 2.67% year-on-year in October 2016, according to a report by the Dubai Statistics Center (DSC).
The inflation growth is mainly attributed to an increase in the “education”, and “clothing and footwear” groups by 7.17% and 5.68% respectively. In addition, the “housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels” group went up 4.59%.
The “miscellaneous goods and services” prices added 3.10%, while those of “health” advanced 0.28%.
The inflation decreased 0.13% month-on-month in October 2016 due to a decline in the health group by 2.07%.
The transportation sector sank 1.19% as the food and beverage sector tumbled 0.60%.
