Dubai inflation up 0.28% in 1st week of Ramadan

 

Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Statistics Centre’s (DSC) weekly report which monitors the prices of food products during the month of Ramadan in the emirate of Dubai showed an increase in the value of food products by 0.28% during the first week of the holy month.

The inflation was due to the rise of some products in the consumer’s Ramadan basket of goods, the report added.

Fish and seafood prices jumped 7.09% during the period, while the prices of beverages was up 0.72% due to price increases in tea, coffee beans and cocoa.

On the other hand, the prices of fruits and meats declined 3.47% and 1.68%, respectively during the first week of Ramadan, while vegetable prices fell 0.48%.
