Dubai-Mubasher: Dubai’s inflation rate rose 1.43% year-on-year in February 2016, according to a report by the Dubai Statistics Centre (DSC).
The inflation increase is mainly attributed to a rise in tuition fees which pushed the education group to add 4.83%.
The emirate’s monthly inflation rate fell 0.22% in February 2016.
It shrank month-over-month after prices of the transportation, and food and beverage declined by 2.79% and 0.68%, respectively.
On the other hand, miscellaneous goods and services prices grew 0.46%, and also housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel prices rose 0.23%.
