Dubai – Mubasher: The consumer price index (CPI) in Dubai registered a rise of 2.26% in May 2017 compared with the same month a year ago, according to a recent report issued by Dubai Statistics Center.
The main reason behind the inflation is an 11.7% rise in the goods and services group.
On a monthly basis, the inflation in Dubai retreated 0.22% in May due to a 14.43% decline in the entertainment and culture group, according to the report.
In May, the transport group and the restaurants and hotels segment declined 0.33% and 0.26%, respectively.
