Dubai – Mubasher: Dubai’s ruler Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum on Saturday launched the world’s largest single-site concentrated solar power (CSP) project in the world, at a value of AED 14 billion, with a capacity of 700 megawatts (MW)

The project includes the world's tallest 260-metre solar tower as part of a plan to make 75% of Dubai’s power come from clean sources by 2050.

The project is a part of long-term strategy to make Dubai the cleanest city in the world by 2050, including an AED 100 billion fund to finance this plan, Al Maktoum stated through his official Twitter account.

AED 500 million will be allocated to search and develop in the fields of smart networks and improving energy’s efficiency during the coming period, Dubai's ruler concluded.
