Dubai – Mubasher: The Emirate of Dubai has come fourth among the world’s most visited cities, headed by Bangkok, London, and Paris.
The enchanting city has received 15.79 million overnight visitors in 2017 and this number is expected to increase by 5.5%, according to Mastercard’s Global Destination Cities Index (GDCI) 2018.
The GCC city led the world’s cities in terms of the value of international overnight visitor spending, which recorded $29.7 billion last year, GDCI’s data showed.
"With a focus on highlighting the depth of Dubai’s offering, encouraging visitors to look beyond the city’s iconic landmarks Dubai has continued to be a must-visit and must-return destination,” DCTCM’s CEO Issam Kazim commented.
