Dubai – Mubasher: Dubai has appointed Maha Khamis Al Mezaina as director of Dubai's Area 2071.
This comes along with the GCC emirate’s plan to enhance its reputation and soft power, building Emirati values and ethics for coming generations, and improve the economy’s productivity.
The new director will supervise the management and implementation of projects and initiatives of Area 2071, the state-run news agency WAM reported.
Al Mezaina has previously worked in many state-run entities including Dubai Future Accelerators, Museum of the Future and Dubai Future Academy.
She also worked in the Prime Minister’s Office in the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs and the Future.
It is worth noting that Area 2071 was launched by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, as one of the mainstays of achieving the goals of UAE Centennial 2071.
