Dubai non-oil trade with Latin America likely to rise 6%

Dubai – Mubasher: Dubai’s non-oil trade with Latin America will grow 6% within three years, according to Hamad Buamim, president and CEO of Dubai Chamber.

Non-oil trade between both countries represents 3% of Dubai’s total annual trade, he added.

The infrastructure sector in Argentina has opportunities valued at more than $83 billion, of which $3 billion are in airports and maritime ports, $1 billion in tourism, $2.5 billion in agricultural industries, and $15 billion in renewable energy.

Dubai’s non-oil trade with Argentina grew 1.3% year-on-year to reach AED 692 million in 2016.

The emirate’s non-oil trade with Latin America reached AED 1.276 trillion in 2016, according to figures posted by the Dubai Customs.
