Dubai – Mubasher: A new wealth report has unveiled the number of millionaires and billionaires living in Dubai.
The emirate boasts 55,400 millionaires, those whose wealth exceeds $1 million, as well as 2,590 multi-millionaires, according to data by Capgemini.
But these aren’t the only wealthy people in the emirate, which also has 10 billionaires.
People with over $10 million in wealth often buy a second home, Capgemini said, noting that at least 33,000 foreign millionaires had purchased a second home in the emirate.
Dubai ranked first in the Arab world in terms of attracting rich people and investors who seek to have a second home.
The emirate also surpassed cities like Paris and Los Angeles, in terms of the number of millionaires it attracts, however on a global scale, Dubai ranked fourth after New York, London, and Hong Kong, according to Capgemini’s report.
Trailing the emirate, are the Hamptons in fifth place, Geneva, Zurich, Paris, and Los Angeles from sixth to tenth, respectively.
