Dubai – Mubasher: The emirate of Dubai has ranked the 6th most popular destination for the global workforce, according to a recent study by the Boston Global Consulting Group (BCG) and The Network.
Around 57% of 366,000 workers over 197 countries are willing to move abroad for work, compared to 64% in 2014, the two firms said in a report entitled “Decoding Global Talent 2018”.
The report showed that 12% of respondents were keen on moving to Dubai, while 11% of them said that they would weigh up moving to Los Angeles.
The respondents also rated the emirate more attractive than a slew of cities, including Paris, Sydney, Tokyo, Toronto, Vienna, Singapore, Melbourne, Zurich, Geneva, Boston and Hong Kong.
In the same vein, Abu Dhabi, the UAE’s capital and biggest sheikhdom, came in the 14th place, the report found.
Generally, the UAE was found to be among the most sought-after work destinations for people in the Middle East and Africa, Arabian Business reported, citing the survey.
