Dubai’s CPI marks 8-month low in July

UAE – Mubasher: The consumer price index (CPI) in the emirate of Dubai fell for the eighth consecutive month to 107.46 points at the end of July, versus 110.83 points in the year-ago period, data by the Dubai Statistics Centre (DSC) showed.

Prices of the housing services, water, electricity, gas, and fuel segment fell by 6.27% last July to 101.73 points, and prices of the miscellaneous goods and services fell by 2.09% to 115.32 points, according to a report by the DSC.

Similarly, the tobacco and the communication divisions inched down by 0.96% and 0.01%, respectively.

Prices in the clothing and footwear segment fell by 4.93%, and prices of the transport services went down by 3.6%.
