Dubai – Mubasher: Dubai-based Landmark Group on Sunday unveiled its expansion in the South East Asia region through the launch of two new Max Fashions stores in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The Middle East’s leading retail and hospitality conglomerate’s expansion has so far entailed the opening of 17 stores over the past 14 months across Malaysia and Indonesia. Landmark Group’s Malaysia expansion included 10 Max Fashions stores and five Babyshop stores, while its Indonesia expansion included the two newly-opened Max Fashions stores.
These new openings come only a year after Landmark Group opened its first store in IOI City Mall in Putrajaya, Malaysia.

“The extension of our business into Indonesia is another step in our strategic growth in South East Asia, where we have seen a great appetite for our products since we launched our brands, Babyshop in Malaysia and now Max in Indonesia. Both the brands have immense potential in this region,” commented Landmark Group chairwoman and CEO Renuka Jagtiani.
She added that the Dubai-based group’s stores come as response to customer demand, noting that her group was planning even more regional expansions over the next couple of years.
“We started buying from Indonesia 30 years ago, and it gives me great pleasure that we've come a full circle now by opening our stores in Indonesia and giving back to the country through our local presence.”
