Dubai’s Nakheel begins leasing Nad Al Sheba Mall

Dubai – Mubasher: Dubai-based Nakheel has announced that it commenced leasing at its 1.2 million-square foot shopping, dining, and entertainment destination Nad Al Sheba.

“Nad Al Sheba Mall…will have 200 shops, restaurants, and entertainment outlets including a supermarket, department stores, multi-screen cinema, medical clinic, and fitness centre spread across 500,000 square feet of shop space. Construction is due to begin in Q4-17, with completion mid-2020,” the developer said in a statement released Monday.

Part of Nakheel Malls’ AED 16 billion expansion, the mall is located in the “increasingly-popular” residential area of Nad Al Sheba, off Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road in Dubai.

“Nakheel is set to become the region’s biggest retail developer, with 17 million square feet of leasable space across 18 projects, including large-scale malls, souks, and neighbourhood retail pavilions,” the company said in its statement.

The developer said that 4 million square feet are already operational through Ibn Battuta Mall, Dragon Mart, Golden Mile Galleria, and five neighbourhood pavilions.

On Saturday, Nakheel announced signing a construction contract worth nearly AED 1.5 billion for a three-tower residential, retail, and beach club complex named The Palm Gateway, located at the foot of the world-famous Palm Jumeirah.
