Dubai – Mubasher: Nakheel on Tuesday announced signing a management agreement with AccorHotels for its ibis Dubai Jumeirah Village Circle (JVC).
The deal was signed by Nakheel chairman Ali Rashid Lootah and managing director and chief operations officer for AccorHotels Middle East & Africa Olivier Granet.
Slated for delivery in 2021, ibis JVC enjoys 252 rooms and will “provide an economy hospitality offering, with an all-day restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating, café, fitness centre, meeting room, and car park.”
The hotel will cover an area of 126,000 square feet across 16 floors, a statement by Nakheel showed.
“ibis is by far the leading economy hotel brand in the region with 39 hotels and this project is a true testament to the strength of this offering in the Middle East,” commented Granet.
He added that as an iconic hospitality brand, ibis “is recognised by high quality, contemporary and comfortable design and genuine service, all of which will find expression at ibis Dubai Jumeirah Village Circle.”
The new deal, which marks the third agreement between the two companies, will help bolster Nakheel’s and AccorHotels’ strategic partnerships for Dubai hospitality projects.
Meanwhile, Lootah stated that Nakheel’s hospitality business “continues to go from strength to strength” on the back of its diverse range of hotels, resorts, and serviced residences across Dubai.
