UAE – Mubasher: The value of exports and re-exports of Dubai Chamber-registered firms to Southeast Asian markets soared by 34% year-on-year (YoY) to AED 652.3 million in April 2020.
On a monthly basis, the exports and re-exports to Southeast Asian markets hiked by 119% in April, when compared to March 2020, according to a report issued by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Sunday.
As for the East Asian markets, the Dubai Chamber members have exported and re-exported goods of AED 341.7 million in April, up 23% YoY and 0.1% month-on-month (MoM).
Singapore topped the list of Dubai's commercial partners in the Southeast Asian market in April, with a value of AED 407.5 million, followed by Indonesia with AED 75 million.
Meanwhile, China came in the first place in the East Asian market for Dubai Chamber exporters and re-exports in April with AED 248.5 million, followed by South Korea with AED 62.2 million.
