Dubai – Mubasher: Dubai’s inflation rose 2.99% year-on-year in November 2016, according to a report by the Dubai Statistics Center (DSC).
The inflation growth is mainly attributed to an increase in the education and clothing and footwear groups by 7.17% and 5.65%, respectively. In addition, the housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels group went up 4.17%.
The miscellaneous goods and services prices added 2.31%, while those of food and beverage advanced 2.34%.
The inflation increased 0.12% month-on-month in November 2016 due to a rise in the food and beverage group by 0.51%.
The transportation sector sank 1.19% as the food and beverage sector tumbled 0.60%.
Housing, water and electricity group rose 0.18%, while the furniture and household group shed 0.04%.
