Dubai – Mubasher: Dubai's non-oil foreign trade during 2015 reached AED 1.283 trillion, with imports adding up to AED 796 billion, exports to AED 132 billion and re-exports accounting for AED 355 billion, according to figures released by Dubai Customs on Tuesday.
The value of imports and re-exports declined 6% and 5% year-on-year, while the exports value increased 16% y/y.
Trading volume of air cargo reached AED 571 billion in 2015 (45% of the total non-oil foreign trade), while sea and land freight value came to AED 501 billion and AED 210 billion respectively.
Dubai’s gold trading value amounted to AED 117 billion last year; diamond trading value reached AED 94 million and jewellery trading value arrived at AED 65 billion.
