Dubai's non-oil foreign trade leaps 13% in Q3

Dubai – Mubasher: Dubai's non-oil foreign trade grew by 13% year-on-year to AED 344 billion from AED 305 billion during the third quarter of 2017.

In the first nine months of 2017, the non-oil foreign trade increased by 3.5% to AED 985 billion, according to date by the Government of Dubai.

The value of imports stood at AED 592 billion in the nine-month period of 2017, the data added.

In terms of commodities’ quantity, Dubai’s foreign trade rose by 5.1% year-on-year in Q3-17, with a total quantity of 23.4 million tonnes.

Meanwhile, exports and imports levelled up in Q3-17 by 11.4% and 5.2%, respectively.

Moreover, commodities' quantity dropped marginally by 2.9% in the nine-month period, recording 68.8 million tonnes.
