Dubai – Mubasher: Dubai will host the 15th annual Gulf Insurance Forum from 17 to 18 October, under the auspices of Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, minister of economy and chairman of the UAE’s Insurance Authority.
More than 100 leaders and experts from the UAE, Gulf, and other international insurance companies are slated to participate in the two-day forum, a statement on Monday showed.
Among the participants are CEOs, directors, experts, insurance brokers from GCC countries, Arab and international insurance associations and observers, representatives of insurance supervisory and control bodies, and representatives of Arab and European ministries of economy and trade.
The first day’s agenda will tackle issues relating to the role of insurance supervisory and control bodies in establishing regulatory frameworks to avoid problems, urging insurance firms to adhere to technical pricing as well as the importance of the market intermediaries.
Meanwhile, the second day’s agenda will highlight technology’s role in assessing risk and thereby pricing it, and the impact of global and domestic financial crises on the insurance sector, the statement concluded
