Dubai – Mubasher: Global Islamic Economy Summit, GIES 2016, will hold its third session at Dubai’s Jumeirah City on 11 and 12 October, according to a press release on Wednesday.
The summit will discuss various topics including Islamic finance, Halal products, investment in small and medium enterprises (SMEs), family tourism and Islamic digital economy.
Total Islamic bank assets reached $1.5 trillion till June, according to a recent study by the Arabic Monetary Fund (AMF).
The study showed that the assets held by the UAE and Saudi Arabia represent 7% and 19%, respectively, of the whole industry’s assets around the world.
