UAE – Mubasher: The emirate of Dubai has welcomed around 9.25 million visitors during the first seven months of 2019, up 0.54% from 9.20 million visitors in the year-ago period, data by the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) showed.
Hotel occupancy rate in the GCC emirate stood at 74% during the seven-month period, according to a report by the DTCM.
The number of hospitality buildings within the emirate reached 711 during the January-July period of the year.
Meanwhile, total guest nights in Dubai stood at around 18.09 million at the end of July, versus 17.24 million nights in the year-ago period.
The relevant authorities within the emirate seek to achieve the main objectives of Dubai Tourism Vision by attracting around 20 million visitors of tourists, international investors, and businessmen by 2020.
