Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Ducab has signed three major contracts with Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) to provide its projects with over 5000 kilometres of EHV, HV, MV and LV cables and AAAC overhead conductors.
Under the deal, Ducab, cable-making joint venture between Abu Dhabi and Dubai, will design, manufacture, and supply operations for ADNOC’s investments with a range of medium voltage (MV), low voltage (LV) power and control cable systems, 132kV High Voltage (HV), and 220kV EHV cables for the Clean Fuel and Waste-Heat Recovery project.
Ducab will also offer cables for the Bab Integrated Facility Project, and cables and aluminum overhead conductors from its recently opened DAC factory for onshore Qusahwira Field Development Phase II Project.
The value of the contracts was not disclosed.
“We believe that the OGP sector will be a key driver for this transformation and will encourage the development of the sector as well as other local sectors such as property, aviation, industry, health, and education—both directly and indirectly—by the gains from the OGP operations,” Ducab’s chairman Jamal Salem Al Dhaheri said.
The signing ceremony occurred on the sidelines of the company’s participation in Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC) 2018.
