Cairo - Mubasher: The Export Development Bank of Egypt (EBE) announced on Wednesday the appointment of Mervat Zohdy El-Sayed Sultan as the new chairwoman, according to an official statement.
Mervat Zohdy is the bank’s first female chairperson, she succeeded Mohamed Ismail El Sherif who served from 2012 to 2016, according to the bank's website
During the fiscal year 2015-2016 the bank’s profits totalled EGP 354.4 million compared to EGP 388.5 million in the year before, as shown by the bank’s financial statements.
The bank’s stock declined by 2.39% on Wednesday’s trading session in the Egyptian Exchange (EGX), and closed at EGP 8.56.
