Cairo – Mubasher: The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development’s (EBRD) small- and medium-sized enterprise (SME) portfolio amounted to $600 million, the regional principal manager for SME programme at EBRD, Reem El-Saady, said.
These loans were directed through 13 banks, El-Saady told Mubahser, noting that EBRD aims to inject a funding of EUR 1.4 billion in Egypt in 2019 in education, health, wastewater, and renewable energy sectors.
In 2018, EBRD pumped loans valued at EUR 1.4 billion to public and private sectors.
