Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s minister of petroleum and mineral resources, Tarek El-Molla, on Monday said that the Egyptian Petrochemicals Holding Company’s (ECHEM) revenues rose EGP 686 million to EGP 1.141 billion in fiscal year 2016/2017, due to an increase in sales amount.
The increase in the ECHEM’s revenues was attributed to the impact of the recently inaugurated projects of Ethydco complex and Misr Fertilizers Production Company’s (MOPCO) expansions, El-Molla added in a statement to the Ministry of Petroleum.
Both projects added higher output and new techniques to the petrochemical industry, he highlighted
The minister noted that the petroleum sector is currently reviewing the establishment of various new projects in the petrochemical industry.
