EEHC to float Siemens power plant-operating firms on EGX in July

Cairo- Mubasher: The Egyptian government is planning to list the three firms, which will manage and operate power plants built by Siemens, on the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) by July 2018, head of the Egyptian Electricity Holding Company (EEHC) Gaber Desouki said.

EEHC will own a 51% stake in each of the three companies, Alborsa newspaper reported.

The electricity ministry commenced establishment procedures for the companies that will be in charge of running the three power plants in Beni Suef, Burullus, and the new administrative capital, Desouki said.

The EEHC's top executive added that the three firms would go public after finalising the commercial operation of all of the power plants' units.

In November, EEHC said that the German engineering conglomerate had completed the implementation of 12 units in the three power plants.
