Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Electricity Transmission Co. (EETC) has signed a contract with a consortium comprising Egypt’s MEGA and China’s Sieyuan to build an air-insulated substation in the governorate of Kafr El-Sheikh.
At a total value of EGP 122.7 million, the contract will be implemented over a period of twelve months starting from the date of award, the company’s chairman Sabah Mashaly said in a statement on Tuesday.
The 11/66 kilovolt (kv) substation will be built with a capacity of 2x25 megavolt amperes (MVA) to meet the rising electricity demand in the Nile Delta.
