EETC inks EGP 587m deal to set up GIS in Giza

Cairo – Mubasher: Egyptian Electricity Transmission Co. (EETC) signed a contract with a XIAN-led alliance comprising XD-EGEMAC, XD-SHIKY, and NCC to set up a gas-insulated substation (GIS) in El-Hawamdia in Giza governorate on a turnkey basis, Ahram Gate reported on Thursday.

The total value of the contract stands at EGP 587.4 million and the project will be implemented over a period of twelve months as of the date of signing the contract, EETC’s chairman, Sabah Mashaly, said.

The project will be financed from EETC’s own resources, along with other funding from Arab and international financial institutions.
