EG Bank’s profit up 14% in 2019 unaudited financials

Cairo – Mubasher: The unaudited consolidated financial results of the Egyptian Gulf Bank (EG Bank) showed a 13.7% year-on-year profit growth during 2019.

Net profits recorded EGP 659.53 million last year, up from EGP 579.98 million in 2018, the bank said in a bourse disclosure on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the bank’s interest income retreated to EGP 7.5 billion in the twelve-month period ended 31 December, compared to EGP 7.59 billion a year earlier.

As for standalone financials, the bank’s net profits amounted to EGP 675.34 million in 2019, compared to EGP 581.51 million in the previous year.

It is noteworthy that during the first nine months of 2019, EG Bank reported a net profit of EGP 458.1 million, compared to EGP 416.47 million in the prior-year period.
