Dubai – Mubasher: Emirates Global Aluminum on Saturday said that its production amounts to 20% of the US' aluminum cylinders market of 1.43 million metric tonnes per year.
Around 500,000 metric tonnes of EGA's production will be sold in the US, said the company's marketing and sales executive Waleed Al-Attar.
He added that EGA will take part in the 11th International Aluminum Extrusion Technology Seminar and Exposition (ET’16), between 2-6 May in Chicago, the US.
EGA was jointly set up by Mubadala Development Company of Abu Dhabi and the Investment Corporation of Dubai.
EGA reported in February a 48.7% drop in its net profits for 2015 to AED 1.9 billion ($520 million) from AED 3.7 billion ($1.01 billion) in 2014.
