Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt Gas (EGAS) rose to the highest level since 18 October 2017 as Zohr gas field to start production.
By 11:11 am Cairo time, EGAS’ stock jumped 7.88% to EGP 245.97 with a turnover of EGP 4.3 million.
The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) decided to suspend all the registered offers and requests during the exploratory session on EGAS’ security during Monday’s trading session.
It is worth mentioning that Egypt’s petroleum minister Tarek El-Molla had announced on Saturday that the offshore Zohr gas field in the Mediterranean is set to pump an initial 350 million cubic feet per day of natural gas into a terminal in Port Said.
By 1:44 pm Cairo time, EGAS went up 8.25% to EGP 246.82, with a turnover of EGP 8.033 million.
