EGAS losses rise 13% in 9M

Cairo – Mubasher: The financial indicators of Egypt Gas (EGAS) showed a 13% year-on-year rise in losses during the first nine months of 2017.

Pre-tax losses amounted to EGP 56.9 million in the nine-month period ended September 2017, versus EGP 50.38 million in the prior-year period, the company said in a statement to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX).

Revenues increased to EGP 1.1 billion in the nine-month period of 2017 from EGP 989.15 million in the year-ago period.

EGAS had previously posted a net loss of EGP 53.5 million for the first half of 2017, versus EGP 47.9 million in H1-16.
