Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Co (EGAS) is planning to launch a tender this month to import shipments of liquefied natural gas (LNG).
EGAS aims at securing the domestic market needs of LNG in the second quarter of 2018 through the upcoming tender, an official source told Shorouk News.
Egypt has bought 12 shipments of LNG, which were below the average, during Q1-18.
The North African country is expecting to boost natural gas production by 1 billion cubic feet per day (bcfd) to 6.2 bcfd by the end of fiscal year 2017/2018.
