Cairo – Mubasher: Egyptian Gulf Bank (EGB) reported an increase of 143.9% in net profits for the second quarter of 2016.
The lender saw net profits of EGP 146.8 million in the second quarter of 2016, up from EGP 60.2 million for the same period a year earlier.
As for the first half of 2016, EGB registered net profits of EGP 240.6 million compared with EGP 120.5 million for the comparable period of the previous year.
EGB’s loans portfolio grew by 53.34% in the first half of 2016 to EGP 12.6 billion from EGP 8.2 billion for the similar period of the previous year.
