Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian pound (EGP) declined against the US dollar (USD) on early Wednesday at Egypt-based banks.
The highest X-rate for bids was EGP 18 per dollar at SAIB, while the top selling rate stood at EGP 18.35 a dollar at SAIB, ADIB, and Crédit Agricole.
The EGP-USD rate stood at 17.85 for bids and 18 for asks at Banque Misr, while Banque du Caire set the buying rate AT EGP17.7 and the selling rate at EGP17.95 per dollar.
The average rate determined by the Central Bank of Egypt on 7 December for asks and bids was EGP 18.2 and EGP 17.81, respectively.
