EGP rises against USD, Arab currencies Monday

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Pound (EGP) rose against Arab currencies on Monday’s trades, compared to Sunday.

The Kuwaiti dinar’s (KWD) price against EGP declined to KWD 58.17 for buying, while it hit KWD 58.56 for selling, compared to KWD 58.62 for buying and KWD 58.98 for selling on Sunday, according to the National Bank of Egypt’s (NBE) data.

The Saudi Riyal (SAR) rate against EGP decreased to SAR 4.72 for buying and SAR 4.74 for selling, while it recorded SAR 4.75 for buying and SAR 4.78 for selling in the previous day.

The Emirati Dirham’s (AED) price against EGP tumbled to AED 4.81 for buying and AED 4.83 for selling on Monday, while it hit AED 4.84 for buying and AED 4.87 for selling on Sunday.

EGP vs USD

The Egyptian currency rose against the US dollar (USD) on Monday.

The USD rate against EGP reached EGP 17.58 for buying and EGP 17.68 for selling at the NBE, Egypt's largest state-run lender, compared to EGP 17.65 for buying and EGP 17.75 for selling on Sunday.

The USD recorded EGP 17.58 for buying and EGP 17.68 for selling in Banque Misr, Egypt's second largest state-run lender, while it hit EGP 17.65 for buying, and EGP 17.75 for selling in the previous session.

Earlier on Monday, EGP saw a mixed performance against foreign currencies in private and national banks.
