Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) announced that Thursday, 20 August, will be an official holiday on the occasion of the new Islamic Hijri year 1442.
Trading will be resumed on Sunday, 23 August, according to a bourse statement on Tuesday.
Earlier, the Prime Minster, Mostafa Madbouly, announced that Thursday is a paid holiday for all employees in ministries, state institutions, and public-sector companies.
