Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) has attracted capital of about 46 firms at a value of EGP 9.7 billion in 2017, EGX Chairman Mohamed Farid said on Tuesday.
The EGX has witnessed an 86% increase in capital in 2017, as compared with 2016, Farid added during the EGX annual conference of 2017.
The EGX has seen 6 initial public offerings (IPOs) at a total value of EGP 4 billion in 2017, he mentioned.
The chairman further noted that foreign investors acquired about 65% of the IPOs this year.
