Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange closed on positive note, on Sunday, as the benchmark index EGX30 went up 2.06% or 125.6 points to close at 6,214.94 points on buying activity by Arab investors.
The small and mid-caps index inched up 0.43% to 353.73 points, while the broader index EGX100 edged up 0.69% to 729.13 points.
Similarly, the equal weighted index EGX50 gained 2.35% to 1,191.7 points.
The market capitalization gained nearly EGP 3.4 billion ($439.26 million) reaching EGP 396.19 million.
The market trading value amounted to EGP 329.7 million, with 211 million shares changed hands.
Out of 166 stocks traded today, advancers outnumbered decliners by 104 to 25, while 37 stocks remained unchanged.
Local investors came as net buyers with EGP 10.3 million, while foreign and Arab investors came as net sellers with EGP 9.1 million and EGP 1.2 million.
