Cairo - Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Wednesday’s trading session on a mixed note, as the benchmark index EGX30 exceeded the level of 12,600 points, going up by 0.85% or 73.24 points, and closing at the level of 12,603.56 points.
On the other hand, EGX70 declined by 0.13% to 585.95 points, and the broader index EGX100 slipped 0.06% and closed at 1,345.68 points.
Meanwhile, the equal-weighted index EGX50 added 0.14%, closing at the level of 2,022 points.
Traded volumes reached 192.27 million shares with a total turnover of EGP 616.8 million, through 22,400 transactions.
Foreign investors leaned towards buying with a net of EGP 28.17 million, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net sellers at EGP 26.7 million and EGP 1.46 million respectively.
Cairo Oils and Soap was the session’s top loser, as it dropped 18.93%, while Credit Agricole and Global Telecom lost 2.51% and 1.28% respectively.
GB Auto, Emaar Misr, and Heliopolis Company for Housing and Development rose 3.19%, 2.38%, and 2.37% respectively.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) increased by 0.20% to the level of EGP 74.5.
