Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange’s (EGX) board decided that Thursday, 30 June will be an official holiday on the occasion of the 30 June revolution.
Trading on the EGX will resume on Sunday, 3 July, according to a statement.
EGX indices closed in the green on Wednesday, for the third session in a row, after sliding by 5% on Sunday following the results of the UK’s referendum, which voted to leave the European Union (EU).
The benchmark EGX30 grew 0.15% by the end of Wednesday’s session to close at 6,942.52 points.
