Cairo – Mubasher: The benchmark EGX30 index of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) rose at Sunday’s close by 0.54% or 70.5 points to the level of 13,161.5 points.
The EGX70 index advanced 0.75% to 482.09 points, the EGX100 index grew 0.31% to 1,184.3 points, and the equal-weighted EGX50 index levelled up 0.35% to 1,999.75 points.
The market capitalization increased by EGP 1.6 billion to EGP 630.2 billion.
Trading volume reached 397.7 million shares exchanged at EGP 1.02 billion.
Orascom Telecom made the highest turnover of EGP 138.7 million, the stock rose 8% to EGP 0.81.
Heavyweight CIB increased 0.87% to EGP 78%, with a turnover of EGP 28 million.
Net purchases by individuals amounted to EGP 134.8 million.
Net sales by local investors reached EGP 41.6 million, while net purchases by foreign and Arab investors amounted to EGP 32.3 million and EGP 9.3 million respectively.
