EGX closes 0.52% higher, extends gains for 8th session in row

Cairo – Mubasher: The benchmark EGX30 of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) rose at Sunday’s close by 0.52% or 6.6 points to the level of 12,919.9 points.

Likewise, the EGX70, EGX100, and EGX50 indices levelled up 0.29%, 0.39%, and 0.54%, respectively.

Trading volume reached 161.7 million shares exchanged at EGP 870 million.

Market capitalisation increased EGP 1.7 billion to EGP 637.83 billion.

Foreign and Arab investors were net buyers by EGP 22.8 million and EGP 48.2 million, respectively, while net sales by Egyptian investors amounted to EGP 70.9 million.

National Cement, Rowad Tourism, National Company for Maize Products, and Wadi Kom Ombo Land Reclamation rose between 10% and 9.84%.

Heavyweight Commercial International Bank - Egypt (CIB) rose 2.93% to EGP 78.75.

On the other hand, Saudi Egyptian Investment and Finance, Juhayna, Universal, and the National Company for Housing declined between 9.18% and 5.7%.
