Cairo - Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange saw a positive performance on Monday’s trading session, on the back of foreign investors purchases.
The benchmark index EGX30 went up by 1.07% or 136 points, and closed at the level of 12,827.9 points.
The broader index EGX100 rose 0.38% to 1,374.67 points, while the equal-weighted index EGX50 added 1.03% and closed at 2,065.69 points.
Traded volumes reached 284.5 million shares, with a total value of EGP 826.8 million, through 27,700 transactions.
182 stocks were traded on today’s session, of which 107 went up, 53 declined, while 22 remained stable.
The Commercial International Bank (CIB) increased by 1.47% to the level of EGP 76.04.
Market capital grew by EGP 4.5 million, and closed at 666.489 billion.
Foreign investors leaned towards buying with a net EGP 92.4 million, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net sellers at EPG 71.2 million and EGP 21.23 million respectively.
