EGX closes Monday near stable amid foreign buying

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange’s (EGX) benchmark EGX30 index rose 0.75% or 102.34 points to the level of 13,660.8 points.

The EGX70 index inched down 0.05% to 714.57 points, while the EGX100 settled at 1,612.36 points, and the EGX50 edged up 0.03% to 2,102 points.

Traded volume amounted to 267.8 million shares exchanged at EGP 905.7 million through 27,100 transactions.

Market capitalisation lost EGP 741.1 million and closed at EGP 715.13 billion.

Foreign traders were net buyers by EGP 69.37 million, while Egyptian and Arab traders were net sellers by EGP 49.9 million and EGP 19.45 million, respectively.

Citadel Capital and Egyptian Resorts declined 1.75% and 1.09%, respectively.

On the other hand, Commercial International Bank – Egypt (CIB), Arab Cotton Ginning, and Oriental Weavers levelled up 1.68%, 1.21%, and 0.65%, respectively.
