Cairo - Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Sunday’s trading session in the green zone on the back of foreign investors buying activity.
The benchmark index EGX30 gained 0.64% or 71.98 points and closed at the level of 11,398 points.
Similarly, EGX70 rose 0.61% to 454.46 points, while the broader index EGX100 increased by 0.46% to the level of 1,069.2 points.
Meanwhile, the equal-weighted index EGX50 rose by 0.95% and closed at 1,837.07 points.
The market cap increased by around EGP 4.8 billion and closed at 575.85 billion.
Foreign investors leaned towards buying and netted EGP 14.9 million, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net sellers at EGP 7.5 million and EGP 7.4 million respectively.
On the other hand, Commercial International Bank (CIB), which is the stock with the biggest weight in the main index, slipped 0.09% and closed at EGP 67.
Global Telecom registered the highest turnover at EGP 95.7 million, added 0.98% and closed at EGP 6.2.
Total traded values reached EGP 863.8 million, with a traded volume of 228.6 million shares.
As for the stock’s performance, 89 closed in green, while 46 closed in red, and 38 remained unchanged.
Cleopatra Hospital Company led the session’s gainers and surged 9.94%, while TransOceans Tours was the biggest loser and dropped 14.29%.
