EGX closes Sunday in green

Cairo - Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Sunday’s trading session in a rise, as the benchmark index EGX30 went up 0.21%, gaining 28 points, and closed at the level of 13,495.32 points.

EGX70 surged 3.04%, its highest daily gain in two and a half months, to 590.85 points, while the broader index EGX100 rose 2.03%, closing at 1,396.92 points.

The equal-weighted index EGX50 slipped 0.29% and closed at the level of 2,059.39 points.

Traded volumes reached 156.3 million shares with a value of EGP 509.3 million, through around 15,800 transactions.

Meanwhile, the market capital increased by EGP 1.6 billion, and closed at EGP 680.2 billion.

Egyptian and Arab investors were inclined to sell with a net EGP 33.4 million and EGP 5.8 million respectively, while foreign investors were net buyers with EGP 39.2 million.
