EGX closes Sunday in green

Cairo - Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Sunday’s trading session on a positive note as the market’s indices saw a group rise on the back of foreign investors’ purchases.

The benchmark index EGX30 went up 0.68%, gaining 91.55 points, and closed at the level of 13,487.36 points.

The EGX70 index added 1.15% and closed at 656.86 points, while the broader index EGX100 rose by 0.67% to 1,519.38 points.

Similarly, the equal-weighted EGX50 index increased by 0.59% to the level of 2,088 points.

Market capitalisation grew EGP 1.73 billion to EGP 695.2 billion.

Traded volumes reached 141.36 million shares, with values totalling EGP 490.24 million, through 16,460 transactions.

Foreign investors were inclined to buy with a net EGP 19.4 million, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net sellers at EGP 11.1 million and EGP 8.3 million, respectively.
