EGX closes Thursday in red

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange’s (EGX) benchmark EGX30 index declined 0.87% or 118.38 points to the level of 13,462.38 points.

The EGX70 went down 0.22% to 720.24 points, while the EGX100 slipped 0.42% to 1,612.26 points, and the EGX50 shed 0.15% to 2,117 points.

Market capitalisation lost EGP 2.5 billion and closed at EGP 715.16 billion.

Traded volume amounted to 245.9 million shares exchanged at EGP 696.19 million through 24,800 transactions.

Egyptian Financial and Industrial (EFIC), Extracted Oils, and Emaar Misr declined 2.57%, 1.50%, and 1.12%, respectively.     

On the other hand, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank – Egypt (ADIB) and Telecom Egypt rose 4.68% and 1.53%, respectively.

Commercial International Bank – Egypt’s (CIB) stock dropped 1.42% to EGP 83.5, with a turnover of EGP 57.5 million.
