EGX closes Tuesday in green zone

Cairo – Mubasher: The benchmark index of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX), EGX30, rose 1.02% or 145.17 points to close Tuesday’s session at 14,342.38 points.

EGX70 gained 0.24% to close at 781.98 points, and EGX100 added 0.73% to close at 1,768.24 points.

Similarly, EGX50 levelled up 0.69% to end the session at 2,532 points.

The heavyweight Commercial International Bank – Egypt (CIB) rose by 2.28%, the highest increase since 11 July, to EGP 79 at a total value of EGP 120.3 million.

The EGX’s turnover amounted to EGP 1.52 billion, after 547.8 million shares were traded through nearly 40,300 transactions.

The Egyptian investors executed selling transactions at a total value of EGP 101.8 million.

Meanwhile, the Arab and foreign traders tended to the purchasing transactions with a total of EGP 16.6 million and EGP 85.2 million, respectively.

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank – Egypt (ADIB) was the top winner with a rise of 6.82%, followed by Amer Group which gained 5.41%.

Meanwhile, Egyptian Resorts led losers with a decline of 3.97%.
